What our members say
Our work is based on creating art that challenges the social exclusion we as disabled people face on a daily basis and constantly inform people of our social justice remit. We are delighted that you have included us into this great opportunity. Ruth Gould, Artistic Director, DaDaFest
Hurricane Films are proud to be involved with SJAM and we fully support their efforts to not only support and highlight the value museums provide to all, but more specifically the importance of social justice and the roles that museums can play in striving for a better and fairer society. Roy Boulter, Producer, Hurricane Films
Cultural experiences are what bring us together and enrich our lives. As a public building with free gallery spaces and a long-running community engagement programme, FACT has seen the huge value of making great art available to everybody, and we are delighted to be part of this important initiative. Mike Stubbs, Director, FACT
Museums and galleries contain huge resources of knowledge, creativity and, above all, inspiration. They are one of the authentic records of the human and natural world which should be known by and cherished by all in society. Making themselves accessible to all is part of their mission. Those who care for and present museum resources are intelligent and imaginative people, in whom society has invested position, trust and responsibility. They must go beyond being functional keepers and ensure that museums play as great a role as possible in achieving social justice across society. Stuart Davies, Director, Stuart Davies Associates.
